My entry to 7DRL 2026. It's quite incomplete, but I had a go at making a very RPG oriented roguelike, with dialogue and skill checks. Overscoped a lot, ended up cutting the worst half-implemented parts on Thursday, didn't quite have time to finish it up by the Saturday deadline.

Notable missing features and bugs caused by them:

  • Combat is not implemented.
    • As a side effect, getting to the "Kill On Sight" alert level breaks the game: the guards no longer harass you to leave, but they don't shoot you either.

Pre-jam development and existing assets:

  • Design:
    • A list of ideas collected over the preceding week
    • A list of more concrete "todo" entries based on those ideas
  • External game engine: Godot 4.6.1
  • External libraries:
    • Dialogue Manager 3.10.1 (addon for Godot, for writing and implementing interactive stuff and talking with some characters)
